It was certainly a blustery evening atop the East Jefferson General Hospital parking garage. The night sky was beautiful, but the wind was blowing so fiercely that the beer from all over America and the world could hardly be kept in our cups, as delicious as it was. The food was just as tasty, but also quite hard to keep on the plate. I enjoyed seeing Hooters out freshly frying tangy wings, Wendy’s brought some nice, hot chili perfect for the cold night, Carraba’s had probably the best mushroom soup ever, and the locals made a huge splash as well. Crescent City Brewhouse and even the hospital’s kitchen staff were keeping us as full as we could handle. Despite the furious wind knocking people over at times, the band, Karma, played on. And when those fog machines went off, it was really spectacular. I can’t wait to make it out next year, but maybe with a windbreaker.
