Having Fun at Renaissance Festival

You might as well call me a Ren Festie. I’m a person who loves history, especially old European history. So the six weeks of the Louisiana Renaissance Festival are like a second home to me. I’ve watched this once-modest fest grow into a full-fledged village with a very colorful cast of characters that pull you right into the show the entire time that you’re there… whether you want to or not. I never miss the Washing Well Wenches or the Tortuga Twins show. I did not partake in the whiskey or wine tasting this year, but it was extremely tempting. My favorite food was the hot, warming Abita Beer Cheese Soup in a bread bowl, but I always have to get some Jester Chips. I must say, I don’t know why I’ve missed out on warm meade until now, but it shant be a mistake I make again. If you can make it out to the last weekend of Ren Fest, you won’t be disappointed. The prices are typically a bit cheaper, and the shows are definitely a tad more adult.
